IT Systems & Support Specialist

Nigrán, Spain
Full-time
Permanent employee

Your mission

Kreios Space is developing cutting-edge electric propulsion technology to enable sustained operations in Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO).

As our team continues to grow, we are looking for an IT Systems & Support Specialist to take ownership of the day-to-day IT environment and ensure that our team has the tools, access and support they need to work effectively and securely.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, working directly with users and taking ownership of IT operations in a fast-growing technology company.

What you will do

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and support of KREIOS' IT environment, including:
  • Prepare, configure and maintain Windows laptops and other IT equipment for employees.
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective, including user accounts, devices, licences and access permissions.
  • Administer our Microsoft 365 environment, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and related services.
  • Manage users, groups and permissions through Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD.
  • Support endpoint and device management, including Microsoft Intune or similar tools.
  • Configure and maintain security measures such as MFA, access policies, device protection and user permissions.
  • Provide first-line and second-line support for hardware, software, connectivity and account-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint and general workstation issues.
  • Manage software installations, updates, licences and user access.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of laptops, peripherals, licences and other IT assets.
  • Coordinate equipment purchases, replacements and repairs when required.
  • Support office connectivity, networks, printers, meeting-room equipment and other IT infrastructure.
  • Document IT processes, configurations and standard operating procedures.
  • Help us continuously improve and professionalise our internal IT environment as the company grows.
  • Work closely with People Operations on employee onboarding, offboarding and access management.
  • Support the implementation of IT and cybersecurity best practices across the organisation.

Your profile

What we are looking for

  • Around 2-4 years of experience in IT Support, Systems Administration, IT Operations or a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Good knowledge of Windows 10/11 administration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience managing users, groups, permissions and access through Microsoft Entra ID / Azure Active Directory.
  • Experience preparing and managing laptops and other endpoint devices.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Intune or another endpoint management solution.
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts: Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPNs.
  • Basic knowledge of IT security principles, including MFA, endpoint protection, access control and device security.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently and find practical solutions.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working directly with users with different levels of technical knowledge.
  • Good communication skills in English and Spanish.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in a startup, scale-up or fast-growing technology company.
  • Experience implementing or improving Microsoft Intune.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Defender and Microsoft security tools.
  • Experience managing SharePoint permissions and structures.
  • Basic experience with networking equipment, firewalls or VPNs.
  • Experience with IT asset management and software licence management.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks or information security environments.
  • Experience supporting engineering or highly technical teams.

What will make you successful in this role

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, reliable and autonomous.
You do not need to know everything from day one, but you should be comfortable investigating problems, finding solutions and taking ownership rather than simply escalating issues.
As Kreios grows, you will have the opportunity to help shape how we manage our IT systems, devices, access and internal IT processes.

Why us?

At Kreios Space, you will join a fast-growing aerospace startup working on cutting-edge technology for Very Low Earth Orbit.

Although this role is focused on our internal IT environment, your work will have a very visible impact across the whole company. You will help ensure that our engineers and teams have the right tools, systems and access to work effectively, while also helping us build an IT environment that can scale as Kreios grows.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and improving the way things work, rather than simply following established processes.

We also care a lot about creating an environment where people genuinely enjoy working together. We have a close, collaborative team and a culture where ideas are welcome and contributions are valued.

What we offer:

  • The opportunity to take real ownership of IT operations in a fast-growing aerospace company.
  • A role where your work will have a direct impact on how the company operates and scales.
  • The opportunity to help shape and improve our IT systems, processes and infrastructure.
  • A collaborative and innovative environment where you can contribute from day one.
  • Professional growth opportunities.
  • Exposure to a highly technical and international engineering environment.
  • A strong team culture and a genuinely positive working atmosphere.
  • An on-site role in Porto do Molle (Nigrán).
  • Snacks in the office every week, including fresh fruit, biscuits, cereal bars and a few other treats, plus coffee and milk always available.
  • "Kreios Sponsored Lunch" once a month.

About us

We are leading the development of the first air-breathing electric propulsion (ABEP) system designed specifically for Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO). This revolutionary engine enables satellites to orbit between 150 and 300 km by capturing and using atmospheric particles as propellant.
By eliminating the need to carry fuel onboard, we drastically increase efficiency and overcome the main challenge of atmospheric drag in VLEO. This disruptive technology opens the door to an entirely new generation of space services, from high-resolution Earth observation to near real-time communications.
To achieve it, we rely on a team of professionals who are passionate, visionary, and committed to pushing the boundaries of what is possible. If you share this passion and want to leave your mark on the future of the space industry, we want to meet you.
