Senior Public Funding & Bid Manager

As Senior Public Funding & BidManager, you will play a critical role in aligning Kreios Space’s technology roadmap with well-structured, high-impact strategic initiatives and competitive project proposals.

Working alongside the Head of Strategic Projects, you will coordinate the full lifecycle of Kreios Space’s participation in relevant European, national and institutional programmes: monitoring the external landscape, assessing strategic opportunities, shaping project concepts, coordinating proposals and supporting the effective delivery and reporting of awarded projects.

What you will do

• Lead public funding proposals end-to-end, from opportunity assessment and project structuring to submission and negotiation.
• Build compelling proposals that translate Kreios Space’s technology roadmap into strong, credible and impactful projects.
• Define and optimise project budgets, eligible costs, funding rates, resources, subcontracting and co-funding, working closely with Finance.
• Coordinate all required inputs from engineering, Finance, partners and other stakeholders while keeping the internal workload focused and efficient.
• Take ownership of awarded projects, including amendments, reporting, financial and technical justification, audits and interactions with funding authorities.
• Manage several funding opportunities and projects simultaneously, identifying risks early and ensuring that projects remain compliant, well documented and successfully delivered.
• Support the Head of Public Funding in evaluating opportunities and continuously improving the company’s project pipeline and approach.

• 5+ years of experience in public R&D funding, grants or innovation funding, ideally within an R&D consultancy or technology company.
• Proven experience leading complex funding proposals and awarded projects independently from beginning to end.
• Strong knowledge of European and Spanish funding programmes, ideally including ESA, European Commission and CDTI or equivalent institutions.
• Strong financial understanding of funded projects, including budgeting, eligible costs, funding rates, financial justification and audits.
• Ability to understand complex technical projects and turn them into clear, competitive and financially robust proposals.
• Highly autonomous, organised and comfortable coordinating multiple stakeholders and funding processes simultaneously.
• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.

Nice to have

• Experience working with deep-tech, aerospace, space, defence or other technology-intensive R&D projects.
• Previous experience managing European collaborative projects or international consortia.
• Technical or engineering background.
